OVERVIEW :

Reporting to the Manager, Materials, the Inventory Control Coordinator maintains accurate inventory levels and process controls as well as develops MRP output into production schedules aligned with customer requirements and operational goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Create and communicate each departments production schedule. Managing the Epicor data inputs into a sequenced build plan for order prep and the warehouse.

Run MRP to align winding demand and determine the optimal mandrel mix. Ensure shop systems and paperwork support these schedules

• Oversee the efficient reporting of production, receipts and shipments into Epicor
• Manage the on-going daily cycle counting program, month end and year-end inventory counts
• Organize and maintain accurate inventory levels throughout the plant and off-site warehouse
• Monitor inventory levels of raw material, hardware and modules ensuring availability of all materials to achieve each department's production objectives while fulfilling customer demand by the ship-by date
• Work with the purchasing department to set, monitor and update related system records for inventory control and raw material planning purposes
• Facilitate the purchase of additional product and replacement stock based on the production plan
• Resolve any related shortages communicating within RS our ability to meet shipping commitments.
• Develop solid understanding of the Epicor system functionality
• Assist in major project planning, including packaging and storage of components
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Backup other positions within the Materials group as needed

TRAINING / QUALIFICATIONS :

• Two-year College Diploma in Business or a minimum of two years' experience in inventory control
• Solid understanding of the ERP system functionality
