Primary Responsibilities
Operating Paper Winder Machine including:
· Preparing machine for production by positioning and securing knives, guides, and rolls.
· Regulating machining by setting and adjusting controls.
· Maintaining winder by observing operations; detecting malfunctions; inspecting parts; securing all guards.
· Resolving production problems by altering process to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional instructions if needed.
· Ensuring operation of equipment by helping in the completion of preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
· Informing supervisor when supplies (i.e. tape, banding, stretch film, cores, core plugs, headers) are low.
