We are in search of an Accountant - Entry Level to join our client's team located in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. This role is primarily focused on handling vendor payables along with month-end close, journal entries, and analysis work. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity. Responsibilities:• Accurately maintain customer credit records• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly• Communicate with suppliers regarding payment issues primarily through email• Assist Accounts Payable to ensure efficient processing• Spend time on the floor for direct communication with the team • Perform month-end close activities such as journal entries and analysis work• Exhibit proficiency in accounting software systems including SAP and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning• Perform accounting functions such as Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)• Execute check processing, month-end close activities, and journal entries.
