We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team on a temporary basis with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role. The Medical Biller will be responsible for ensuring the timely submission of medical claims to various entities including private insurance companies, AHCCCS, AIHP, AZ Complete, private pay, and tribal billing. The ideal candidate will possess prior medical billing experience and be proficient in utilizing billing software and accounting systems.Responsibilities and Duties:Verify that referrals and pre-authorizations have been received and approved for billing purposes.Collaborate with the billing supervisor to update Excel billing spreadsheets with accurate coding and amounts.Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information for electronic and paper claim processing.Enter billing data into Sage accounting software to maintain accurate financial records.Update billing report spreadsheets with Sage Invoice numbers and record actual amounts paid upon receipt.Perform other assigned duties as necessary to support the billing process and overall organizational needs.
