GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Perform safe and productive erection of structural and miscellaneous steel per plans and specifications.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
 Perform welding per AWS D1.1 requirements and J.B. Steel procedures.
 Inspect and maintain all assigned PPE.
 Occasional lifting up to 70 lbs., routine lifting up to 50 lbs., up to 20 times per hour.
 Climbing ladders with 50 pounds of tools and supplies
 Working at heights with exposed edges of 20’ or more.
 Report any unsafe conditions and remove defective equipment from service.
 Perform bolting per RCSC requirements and J.B. Steel procedures.
 Follow project safety programs and maintain highest quality and safety performance.
 Inspect own work before proceeding to the next assignment.
 Maintain good communication with supervisors.
 Work well with others – TEAM.
 Assist in the training of junior employees.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
 Certified welder – Minimum required AWS D1.1 SMAW, Position 1F thru 4F & 1G thru 4G; Thickness 1/8” to 1”
 Certified Reach Forklift, Boom and Scissor Lift operator
 Qualified Rigger
 Successfully completed Operation Safe Site –Subpart R training (8 hour session)
 Trained and knowledgeable regarding JB Steel’s AISC Quality and Safety Management System
 Certified Operator – Hilti Powder Actuated Equipment
 Basic blue print reading skills.
 Good safety awareness.
 Received all company required training.
 A minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction industry.
 Open to learn new skills and procedures
