Experience Requirements
- Proven management experience in a technical or engineering environment. Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities. Excellent coaching and interpersonal communication skills.
- Advanced leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate technical teams. Experience with CRM tools and familiarity with modern technology and software used in applications engineering.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Results-driven and customer-focused mindset.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM field
- Supervise and lead the applications engineering team, ensuring effective operation and project success.
- Recruit, train, and mentor new team members, assessing performance and providing constructive feedback.
- Develop, review, and improve engineering procedures and policies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Assist in technical and sales training for applications engineers as well as marketing and sales staff.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new products and advancements to provide expert advice and support.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to ensure team alignment with company goals and customer needs.
- Serve as the first level of technical support for customers, addressing their inquiries and concerns.
- Answer and/or distribute email requests and technical support questions to the appropriate parties.
- Maintain a high level of customer service within the team. On occasion, assist in customer visits for both direct customers and rep/distributor customer visits.
