Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Warehouse Materials Specialist to join our team. This is a salaried non-exempt position reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of our cement warehouse facility. Your primary duties will include inventory management, quality control, logistics coordination, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. You will work closely with all plant departments to streamline processes and maintain the highest standards of operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety procedures and policies as required.
• When directed, assist in the creation of purchase requisitions.
• Utilize SAP system to manage auto re-order of warehouse minimum and maximum stock levels.
• Process all SAP transactions for the creation of new part numbers.
• Process all receiving transactions or any other transactions as directed.
• Expedite processing of issue transactions and charge parts to proper cost centers.
• Verify parts received against purchase orders or packing list, reconcile differences.
• Assist in shipping and receiving for departments as needed.
• Maintain stock/parts area in organized and safe manner. Includes cleaning and stocking.
• Perform cyclical physical inventory and verify stock counts against computer records.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience working in an industrial environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with team members, suppliers, and customers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent computer skills including use of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and computer software for inventory tracking and reporting.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Must be able to work extended hours, holidays, nights and weekends as needed.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, often weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Stamina to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Manual dexterity for operating warehouse equipment and performing tasks such as inventory counting and labeling.
