Ideal Candidate Criteria
Education:
- B.A. in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Bookkeeper or Accountant (preferred)
- Law Firm Experience (preferred)
Experience & Skills:
- Minimum of five years in accounting
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Excel
- Technology proficient with the ability to learn new applications quickly
- Deadline-driven with strong attention to detail
- Excellent writing and analytical skills
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
- Demonstrates initiative, professionalism, and flexibility in a fast-paced setting
- Adheres to strict confidentiality standards
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Adaptive thinking with a strong, critical mindset
- Strong business acumen

Responsibilities:
- Perform accounting tasks
- Create and maintain budgets
- Prepare and send client bills
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
- Maintain all bank accounts and Firm Trust Account
- Perform bank reconciliations
- Create financial reports for the CEO and CAO
- Assist with tax documents and payments
- Handle biweekly payroll
- Oversee the opening of new client matters
