Actalent is Hiring a Medical Scheduler Near Torrance, CA
Medical Scheduler working on contract in a specialty clinic! Looking for someone to start ASAP!
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm.
Location: Torrance, CA
Pay: Varies based on experience.
Job Duties:
- Scheduling: Making, rescheduling, and canceling appointments for consultations, check-ups, and procedures
- Answering phones: Greeting patients, answering questions, and reminding them of appointments
- Communication: Communicating with patients, physicians, insurance companies, and other medical staff
- Insurance verification: Assessing patient eligibility, reconciling patient histories, and ensuring that copays and payments are collected correctly
- Following up: Confirming appointment times
- Other duties: Providing instructions to patients, ordering supplies, transcribing prescriptions, managing vendors, and troubleshooting common issues
Requirements
- 6 months of front office experience within healthcare.
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
