About the Role
Align Civil Engineering Consultants (Align) is seeking a motivated and dependable individual to join our team as a Survey Crew Chief. Ideally, this candidate has at least two years of land surveying or construction experience. This position will be based out of Align’s Terre Haute, Indiana office.
Duties of the Survey Crew Chief include:
Complete fieldwork for topographic mapping, construction staking, boundary surveys, control surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and subdivision plats. Previous experience utilizing conventional equipment, data collection, robotic total stations, and Trimble GPS is preferred. Qualified candidates will be expected to perform routine calculations for boundary and construction staking activities; then, develop survey plats in AutoCAD using Civil 3D, and/or Carlson software. This candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Must be able to work outdoors performing physical labor in all seasons and able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds minimum. During peak construction season, you may be expected to work 8–12-hour shifts. A valid driver's license is required and the individual must pass a drug screening. Occasional travel requiring overnight stay can be expected and will be required.

Requirements
- 4 year Survey/Civil Degree preferred but not required
- Minimum 2 year Survey/Civil Associates Degree required
- PS, LS, or SIT License preferred but not required
