Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced kennel manager to join our team. As an assistant kennel manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kennel facility, ensuring the well-being and care of all dogs as well as reception duties and greeting clients. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for canine care and management.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise kennel staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of kennel areas and playrooms.
- Monitor the health and behavior of dogs under your care.
- Coordinate feeding schedules and administer medications as directed.
- Assist with animal handling, including walking, bathing, and supervising playrooms.
- Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners, addressing any concerns or inquiries.
Experience
- Previous experience as lead kennel tech, or assistant kennel manager preferred.
- Knowledge of various breeds and dog behavior.
- Experience in animal handling and care within a kennel or pet care facility.
- Familiarity with dog training techniques is a plus!
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
