Position: Assistant/Associate Production Manager

Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated women’s and girls’ apparel Production Assistant/Associate to provide essential support to our Production Director. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing process, optimizing efficiency, and maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of effectively assisting the production management team in all tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Production Support: Assist the Production Director/Manager in coordinating all aspects of apparel production, including scheduling, workflow management, and resource allocation.
  • T&A: Assist Production Director in implementing, monitoring, and adhering to the time and action calendar.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production schedules, material usage, and any deviations from standard procedures.
  • Record Keeping: Track, receive, record, and communicate in regards to lab dips, trim & bulk approvals, fit samples, PP’s, and TOP’s.
  • Technical: Attend and assist in fittings. Able to process & understand tech packs & spec sheets and spec garments as needed.
  • Compliance: Adhere to different procedures and requirements of each retail customer accounts.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between Production Director, Sales and Design teams, HQ and factories, relaying instructions, updates, and feedback as needed.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and address any issues or challenges that may arise during production, collaborating with the production management team to implement solutions.
  • Quality Control: Conduct inspections of garments to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications established by the production management team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in meetings and discussions focused on process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Assist the production management team with any additional tasks or projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in production apparel manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a production support role or similar capacity within the apparel industry is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible scheduling may be required to accommodate production demands, including evenings and weekends.
