This position requires an individual that can think outside of the box, can design visually compelling reports and is capable of synthesizing business requirements to technical specifications, and execute on those specifications.

Founded in 1918, Okland Construction operates as a regional general contracting and construction management company with now nearly 1,000 employees and growing. It supervises the architectural, engineering, bidding, contracting, building, inspection from the beginning to the end of the project and specializes in concrete self-preform on large commercial scale.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data Visualization and Reporting: Develop, design, and customize interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand needs and effectively communicate complex data.
  • Quality Assurance and Maintenance: Validate and test data and reports to ensure accuracy and functionality.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to users on Power BI tools; develop user documentation.
  • Technical Proficiency: Stay updated on Power BI updates and integrate new technologies to enhance reporting.
  • Project Management: Manage project timelines and deliverables, coordinating with IT and data teams for system integration.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Power BI Proficiency: Must have experience in developing interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI, with strong skills in DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service.
  • Data Analysis Skills: Requires a strong background in data analysis and visualization, with experience in data manipulation and storytelling through visuals.
  • Database and SQL Expertise: Knowledge of SQL and familiarity with database and data warehousing technologies is essential.
  • Project Management Experience: Proven ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and multitask effectively.
  • Certifications: Certifications in Power BI, other BI tools, or credentials like PMP or CAP are advantageous.
