Description:

The Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for the day to day administration of Martignetti Companies benefits plans including medical, dental, vision, life/STD/LTD, leaves of absences and workers compensation.

Martignetti Companies is the leading distributor of wine, beer, and spirits in New England. From our Taunton Office, our Human Resources team supports approximately 1,700 employees at peak times. Our employees are in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, and Connecticut.

This position is eligible to participate in our hybrid work schedule, which includes working in the Taunton office three days per week and remotely two days per week.

Essential Job Functions

  • Administration of Martignetti benefits programs for all employees, including enrollment, invoice processing, and reports
  • Work with the Benefits Administrator on annual open enrollment event activities
  • Track leaves of absences and ensure accurate and timely documentation
  • Review, audit, and process monthly invoices
  • Support individual employee questions and requests and consultation with managers
  • Support the workers compensation process and documentation
  • Work on projects as needed both independently and in a group setting
Requirements:

Education/Training/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years of benefits/leave of absence experience preferred
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
  • Prior experience with HR systems and benefits enrollment/administration platforms preferred
  • Proactive problem solver with a team-orientation mindset
  • Intermediate presentation skills (e.g. experience delivering benefits presentations) preferred
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations related to employee benefits (e.g., ADA, FMLA, COBRA, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.)

  • Maintain confidentially of employee details
  • Critical thinking, problem solving, solutions focused
  • Must be extremely organized and detailed-oriented
  • Self-motivated and able to work on a team, as well as independently
  • Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to learn/navigate new systems
