Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized care for patients with mental health disorders and support their overall well-being.
Duties:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop individualized care plans for patients
- Prescribe medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing
-Valid certification for psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner
- Valid APRN license in the state of practice
- One year of experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing required
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology and treatment modalities
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Familiarity with acute care and primary care settings
- Ability to work with diverse patient populations, including adolescents and older adults
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Nice-to-have Skills:
- Experience with documentation in EHR’s, e-scribing, & billing.
