We are seeking an RN or LPN to support the psychiatric and medical team at a mental health treatment center (Partial Hospitalization level of care). Ideal candidate will have some form of experience working with the primary mental health or substance use disorder population.

CORE JOB DUTIES:

• The nursing professional is responsible for the delivery of nursing care and client care education.
• Ability to complete appropriate documents within the required timeframe after admission to the program. Maintains medical records.
• Ability to transcribe Physician orders and implement all Medical Protocols as ordered.
• Ability to provide documentation which reflects services for each patient in accordance with licensure standards.
• Ability to assess the medical and psychiatric needs of the patient.
• Ability to effectively communicate concerns about patient health to appropriate personnel and follows up as necessary.
• Ability to educate patients about medications, health issues and medical conditions.
• Demonstrates ability to take verbal orders from the medical provider, documents them in the patient record and carries them out accurately and professionally.
• Demonstrates ability to provide routine nursing care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.
• Ability to maintain Standards of Ethical Conduct.
• Electronic Medical Record experience.

Qualifications

A. Minimum: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Florida.

B. Preferred: 5 years of prior experience in a psychiatric/substance abuse setting and one year of general duty and currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Florida.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
