Ensuring Chart’s Success…This role will oversee the daily production and delivery of Chart's world-class products manufactured in our Theodore, AL facilities.
What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…
- Provide daily direction to supervisor team and work together to remove obstacles creating production delays.
- Partner with other departments and shifts to coordinate raw materials, parts, assemblies and completed units, etc.
- Work with engineering teams on critical component reliability and related product specifications to achieve strategic goals.
- Work closely with production scheduler to reduce production delays.
- Promote safe work environment and champion safety practices and behaviors.
- Partner with human resources to determine appropriate staffing levels, address performance issues, onboarding of new employees, etc.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow and processes on production floor.
Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…
- This position will require the ability to move around the production floor and investigate issues with the production equipment.
- Lift up to 15 pounds
- Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, other related tasks in an office setting.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a medium volume manufacturing environment, ETO a plus.
- Must have previous supervisory experience.
- Lean Six Sigma, highly desirable.
- Proven results improving manufacturing performance.
- Proven experience training others in manufacturing concepts and activities.
