About your Role:
As a Family Connections Consultant, you will support vulnerable families referred by the Department of Child Safety, to help them meet the basic needs of their children, prevent child maltreatment and/or eliminate danger. In this position, you will work up to 5 months in the homes and in the community, with the children/youth and their families to conduct initial assessments and service plans to address child safety needs. This role provides intervention and links to community resources, progress evaluations, and parent training and education. You will meet with the parents/caregivers 1-2/week and observe the children/youth at least once a week.
