SUMMARY
The Litigation Paralegal performs legal support functions as outlined below. Critical features of this job are described below. They are subject to change at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Maintain and manage multiple files for multiple attorneys
• Draft and finalize (after review by attorney) pleadings, motions, discovery, discovery responses and correspondence
• Prepare and coordinate witness and document subpoenas
• Use Federal Florida E-Filing Portal to electronically file court documents
• Determine and manage court deadlines
• Perform legal research
• Manage document production
KEY COMPETENCIES
• Basic knowledge of Federal and Florida civil court systems, legal concepts and legal documents
• Experience with electronic filing through CM/ECF or Florida Courts E-Filing Portal
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Professional (PDF) and Internet Based public records searches
• Able to learn and utilize new technology quickly
• Able to edit documents for spelling, grammar and punctuation
• Able to vary writing style to meet needs
• Well organized
• Able to prioritize and anticipate work needs
• Able to work with minimum supervision
• Able to complete assignments under occasional periods of pressure and short deadlines

EDUCATION
A Bachelors Degree is preferred
EXPERIENCE
Three years of litigation paralegal work experience in a law firm environment
