Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the managerial needs of all public service departments.
- Serve as the “City Engineer” of the Engineering Department and GIS Coordinator.
- Administer and implement capital improvement plans.
- Oversee all phases of civil and municipal engineering, including cost estimating, planning, contract management, detailed design, construction, and construction administration.
- Manage municipal finance and maintain financial and official records.
- Communicate effectively with departmental staff and the general public.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum of five years of experience in civil and municipal engineering.
- Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Ohio
- In-depth knowledge of cost estimating, planning, contract management, detailed design, construction, and construction administration.
- AutoCAD is a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience in municipal finance and record-keeping.
- This is an in-office position Monday through Friday.
