We are looking for a friendly and energetic person with customer service focus to join our design and sales team at our store located in Summerville. Design and Sales Consultants are responsible for all sales job duties related to selling furniture and home decor. Design and Sales Consultant duties and responsibilities include working closely with customers to determine their needs, answer their questions about our merchandise and assist the customer in selecting and designing the right piece for them. To be successful as a Design and Sales Consultant, you should stay up-to-date with product features and maintain our store’s visual appearance in high standards. Ultimately, the duties of a Design and Sales Consultant are to achieve excellent customer service, while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals. This position pays HOURLY PLUS COMMISSION. Position can be part-time or full-time.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
• Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on product features
• Welcome customers to the store and answer their questions
• “Go the extra mile” to drive sales
• Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options
• Process POS (point of sale) purchases
• Cross sell products
• Team up with co-workers to ensure proper customer service
• Build relationships with customers
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• Must work weekends

Skills

• Work experience as a Retail Sales associate, Sales representative or similar role
• Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
• Basic Math skills
• Hands-on experience with POS transactions
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
• Ability to perform under pressure and address complaints in a timely manner
• Availability to work flexible shifts

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
