Western Tidewater Regional Jail is Hiring an Information Technology Specialist Near Suffolk, VA
- A and Net certifications required.
- Provides end user support in a high stress environment.
- Hands on work experience with the following: Microsoft Office product suites, Microsoft 365, Microsoft server roles and features, strong Power Point skills, Cisco and HP managed switches with the ability to configure both, VPN, maintaining email systems, firewalls, virtual machines, Smartboards, network based printers, and configuring SSIDs on an Access Point.
- Experience maintaining VOIP phone systems, including experience maintaining VOIP servers and IP phones.
- Knowledge of and experience working with CAT5 and CAT6 cabling, including installing and terminating wire ends, male or female RJ45 jacks and ability to terminate 110 blocks.
- Ability to troubleshoot computer and network issues and provide resolution in a timely manner.
- Experience working with and maintaining Audio/Video Systems.
- Provides user account set up, maintenance, and de-activation.
- Manages and prioritizes service requests through a workflow system.
- Skills in trouble shooting both wired and wireless networks.
- Experience working with network based printers, cloning computer systems, Zoom conference software, Android tablets, record management systems, and Person VUE GED software a plus.
- Competitive salary based on experience from $50,000 - $60,000
