We are seeking a highly experienced, detail and solutions-oriented Construction Manager for our growing multi-discipline consulting industrial engineering and construction management firm. Projects may require work inside power plants, manufacturing areas, outdoors, etc. The firm is located near Stratham, NH however, this position will require regular travel to the sites; including overnight, extended stay and/or long-term residency, when not in the office.
Responsible for communicating complex technical issues and recommendations to the Project Manager. Oversight and scheduling of one or two large construction projects or multiple small projects including all aspects of staffing; overall administrative and technical direction; leading or assisting with preparation of estimates; overseeing the bid phase, subcontractor, vendor scope and costs; delivering complete written bid packages for multiple trades. Interfacing with client, architect, union, subcontractors, security, etc.
Must be professional with strong ethics, outstanding communication and customer interaction skills, thorough understanding of federal, state and local project regulations. Thorough understanding and knowledge of the project safety program, multiple trade construction and project contract delivery methods. Must maintain all necessary licensing requirements. Must possess advanced knowledge of estimating techniques and cost control and the ability to interpret computerized cost data and systems.
BS in Engineering discipline or Construction Management or equivalent combination of training and related experience. Minimum of ten years supervisory or equivalent experience in construction. Experience working as a superintendent, construction project manager, or construction manager is required. Industrial construction and/or estimating experience is a plus.
