RequirementsWhat to expect as an In-Patient Pharmacist:
- Ensure safety and appropriateness of medication therapy through order verification, dispensing, home medication reconciliation, chart review, and dose/therapy adjustment as applicable. Document medication-related interventions in medical record.
- Provide clinical support to practitioners. Make recommendations and encourage safe and cost-effective pharmacotherapy for patients through multi-disciplinary collaboration.
- Oversee the medication dispensing process to ensure accurate and timely delivery of medications to patients. This includes supervision of pharmacy technicians and/or interns.
- Oversee sterile compounding activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- College graduate, R.Ph. (MTS Certified) or PharmD.
- Licensed/Registered Pharmacist with Missouri Board of Pharmacy required.
- Excellent customer service skills, phone etiquette, and attention to detail are required.
- BLS, required.
