We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Aircraft Leasing Lawyer to lead our legal team in the Americas region. This critical role offers the opportunity to oversee all legal aspects of our aircraft leasing and financing transactions, while managing a team of lawyers and paralegals. You will act as a key liaison across various departments throughout the deal cycle, ensuring seamless execution.

Responsibilities:

• Lead lawyer for the Americas, providing strategic legal direction and overseeing a team of legal professionals.
• Manage and coordinate with internal and external counsel throughout the transaction process.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex legal documents, including leases, financing agreements, and sale agreements.
• Oversee unsecured and secured financings, bond transactions, and credit facilities.
• Manage collection/enforcement efforts and ensure compliance with reporting obligations and relevant laws.
• Take a prominent role in risk management and ensure adherence to US regulations (including SEC).
• Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders (marketing, capital markets, pricing, technical) to ensure successful deal execution.
• Possess exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent degree and qualified to practice law in New York.
• 10 years of relevant legal experience.
• 5 years of experience in the aircraft leasing industry.
• Proven track record of leading and managing complex transactions.
• Strong attention to detail, exceptional negotiation and drafting skills.
• In-depth knowledge of securities law and aircraft leasing regulations.
• Ability to prioritize efficiently, work independently, and meet tight deadlines.
