Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. We are looking for a part-time employee with consideration of full-time in the near future.

Responsibilities:
- Perform basic clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, recording patient medical history, and preparing patients for examination.
- Assist healthcare providers during medical procedures and examinations
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare professionals
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Perform routine administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling insurance documentation
- Provide exceptional patient service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and providing necessary information
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control measures

Experience:
- Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant in an internal medicine or primary care setting is preferred
- Familiarity with office managerial and administrative duties is a plus
- Knowledge of medical coding practices and electronic health records (EHR) systems is highly desirable
- Proficiency in performing basic life support (BLS) techniques is required
- Experience working with geriatric patients is advantageous

Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program from an accredited institution
- Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
