Job Summary:
OCCS is a faith-based 26-bed addiction medicine facility located in the Springfield, OH. We offer in-patient detoxification, step-down/residential, and outpatient MAT programs. We are seeking skilled and compassionate Case Aide who have empathy, compassion, and a non-judgmental attitude toward individuals in recovery to join our team. As Case Aide, you will provide direct patient care, administer, and assist with intakes. At OCCS our overall mission is to assist those who are experiencing life challenges with alcohol and/or drug addiction and are looking for people who are excited to join our passionate and dedicated team.
Description: Case Aide
Job Purpose: A caring and compassionate individual who enjoys interacting with inpatient addiction clients and assisting them with their daily activities. Candidates must be warm and friendly, with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a genuine passion for providing our clients with high quality care and support. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, well-organized, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Reports to: Clinical Supervisor
Roles and Responsibilities
1. Assist clients with personal care tasks that sometimes include dressing and serving meals
2. Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed linens.
4. Accompany clients to appointments within the facility
5. Observe, monitor, and record clients’ emotional challenges if any and promptly report any changes to senior staff/counselor.
6. Encourage clients to participate in social and recreational activities.
Qualifications:
· High School diploma or GED.
· Working toward Peer Recovery Supporter credentials.
· Must possess demonstrated computer skills and knowledge in MS Office software applications, including Word and Excel.
· Must demonstrate the ability to effectively function as a team member.
· Has the ability to appropriately interact on the telephone and address questions.
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS:
· Must demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently.
· Must possess exceptional communication and organizational skills.
· Must be able to relate with empathy and sensitivity to staff, clients, and the community.
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:
· Peer Recovery Supporter (State of Ohio), CNA or STNA
· CPR
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

· Ability to lift to 25 pounds.
· Ability to perform job responsibilities in a facility with multiple levels and without elevator or mechanical transportation.
· Operates a computer and keyboard.
