Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. As a Medical Biller, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures and services. Your role will be crucial in ensuring timely reimbursement for medical services provided.

Duties:
- Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems
- Ensure compliance with all relevant coding guidelines and regulations
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, including appealing claims when necessary
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim issues or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient billing records
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients
- Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries and concerns
- Collaborate with the medical office staff to ensure accurate documentation of medical services provided

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of medical billing procedures, coding systems (ICD-9 and ICD-10), and insurance guidelines
- Proficient in using medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing processes
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
