A Project Manager is fully responsible for the projects that are assigned. The Project Manager must make the project keep on moving forward and ensure that it is within budget and on completion schedule. The Project Manager takes over the account once a project is sold and represents Company on all facets of the project.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Review of transition packets from sales office administrator
- Review and assign projects
- Oversee and manage project management team / multiple project managers
- Oversee workload, dates, project success, costing, labor hours
- Notify installation manager of prevailing rates for on-site installation
- Responsible for all projects that have been assigned to him, and must be able to simultaneously keep them on schedule and within budget
- Coordinate and communicate with anyone and everyone who is involved with the project, both internally and externally
- Provide project managers with feedback, encouragement, and advice
- Troubleshoot problems that come up during projects
- Develop individual project plans, complete with budgetary information and resource needs
- Host a project meeting at least one per week for each project under your direction
- Regularly study the budget and costing of the project to ensure that costs are kept under control and find alternative ways to make the project come in under budget to greater increase overall profit margins
- Track and obtain approved cost change orders from clients to increase sales
- Provide job costing reports upon the completion of each project
- Ensure that risks and potential problems are identified before they occur and take all the necessary steps to prevent them
- Monitor staff performance and complete performance reviews
- Set and continually manage project expectations while delegating and managing team members
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
- Be actively involved in every step of the project, from start to finish
- Communicate project objectives to all team members involved
- Deliver appropriate and effective executive level communication
- Provide quality control checks throughout various stages of the production cycle; check final products prior to installation or shipping
- Visit project sites to confirm that signage will work per plans and specifications and if necessary, present changes which will allow the signage to function as expected
- Attend production meetings to keep the staff updated as to how the project is developing, and when to expect the project to be scheduled into the workload
- Confer with the various people involved in the project and ensure that each finish the task assigned to him on time. The project manager must be liaison between the employees of SPI and the end user
- Give clear and precise work orders so the sign products can be manufactured and delivered according to specifications required
- Be sure that all shop drawings are accurate and that the signs can be produced and installed as drawn
- Ensure that all landlord approval and permitting is in place before starting production on all projects in which this applies
- Understand invoicing (including construction AIA) and project close-out; assist in payment collection
- Review/understand Contract/Compliance.

General Superintendent experience would be considered

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
