Weston & Sampson is seeking a motivated field engineer with 0-5 years of experience to perform construction support tasks onsite for a renewable energy project in Southampton, NY.

Our established Environmental Practice of Professional Engineers (PEs) seek thoughtful and innovative individuals who truly want to make a difference enhancing, protecting, and sustaining the natural and built environment to improve the quality of life.

What you’ll do:

• Assist Group with diverse, fast-paced assessment projects for municipal, state agency and private clients;
• Oversee construction activities on a daily basis and document construction compliance with approved plans and permit conditions;
• Report to and work under the engineer of record (EOR) for the project; and
• Interface with a multidisciplinary team of design engineers and contractors.

What you’ll bring:

• BS in Civil or Environmental (or equivalent) Engineering is required.
• 0-5 years’ experience
• A positive attitude and able to communicate effectively with others
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail
• Working knowledge of computer spreadsheets, word processing software and AutoCAD is helpful. Willingness to obtain internal/external training to increase software skills
• Travel to the Southampton site, on a daily basis, will be required to conduct field work

Salary Range is $65,000-74,000
