Elevance Health is Hiring a Project Manager Near South Portland, ME

Locations: Preferred location – IN-Indianapolis. The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations. Additional locations near an NGS office will be considered; MD-Baltimore, NY-East Syracuse, PA-Harrisburg, ME-South Portland , TX-Denison, MA-Hingham. This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Depending on location and proximity to an NGS location, will determine hybrid schedule with the highest in-office commitment being 1-2 days in an office per week.
The Project Manager is responsible for working with business partners to identify and implement small to medium projects that support the achievement of simple to complex unit or corporate goals. Projects may be business and/or technical (software implementation or application updates) in nature. Works with moderate guidance and is responsible for applying project management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project deliverables, processes, and systems. Operates within defined parameters using project management methodology.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Manages project planning and develops project plans.
  • Develop project charters.
  • Partners with sponsors to secure project approval.
  • Develop a communication management plan.
  • Defines project team roles and responsibilities and develops work plan structure and project schedule.
  • Develops deployment plan, leads project meetings, identifies, documents, and prioritizes scope changes, and facilitates approval process.
  • Maintain and update all project documents; secure the appropriate skill sets for the project; set and manage expectations with resource managers and team members.
  • Provide performance feedback to team members and resource managers; maintain issue log; facilitate resolution of issues; execute communication plans; regularly report the status of reports; manage and monitor ROI throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Tracks and manages time and budget against plan.
  • Develop testing strategy; conduct project close-out activities; prepare and participate in quality review checkpoints; obtain/secure and archive necessary approvals
  • Manage and update the project plan.
Minimum Requirements
  • Requires a BA/BS in a related field and a minimum of 3 years of professional project management experience, of which at least 2 years are spent leading and directing project tasks; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
This position is part of our NGS (National Government Services) division which, per CMS TDL 190275, requires foreign national applicants meet the residency requirement of living in the United States at least three of the past five years.Preferred Experience, Capabilities, And Experience
  • Demonstrated ability to create an effective team environment, build strong relationships, solving problems and issues in a matrix environment, and communicate effectively at all levels of an organization is strongly preferred.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Experience working in a lead role on one or more projects is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with delivery of high-priority and high visibility executive deliverables preferred.
  • Strong PowerPoint and writing skills preferred.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $ 74,800 to $112,200
