Sales Associate

Job Description:

Sales Associate will be responsible for facilitating day-to-day operations at our Clearly Tahoe shop. Sales Associate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and presentable shop appearance, organizing, and ensuring products are properly displayed, labeled and free of damage or defects. Sales Associate will be responsible for communicating with pre-scheduled tour guests prior to arrival, facilitating check-in and outfitting guests upon arrival. Sales Associate will be responsible for communicating and relaying information between various departments. Sales Associate will be responsible for answering the phone and occasional emails. Sales Associate should be knowledgeable of the company and prepared to assist guests with questions, recommendations, and basic reservations on-site. Sales Associate will be responsible for receiving packages and ensuring the products are free to damage or defects, tagging and restocking merchandise on the floor. Sales Associate will be responsible for running daily inventory checks and recording any lost, stolen or damaged items. Sales Associate will be responsible for assisting guests with basic sales in the shop as well as online orders. Sales Associate will be responsible for handling money and submitting daily reports and cash drops with accuracy.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a friendly demeaner, enjoy engaging with the public and providing high-level customer service. Candidate should be comfortable confidently greeting new people, answering questions, and providing recommendations. Candidate should be able to complete assigned daily tasks without constant supervision. Candidate should work well as a member of a team. Candidate should be confident in conducting sales transactions and should be able to handle money with honesty and accuracy.

Clearly Tahoe is a full-service recreational company in the Lake Tahoe area that specializes in guided tours and rentals on both land and water. We currently feature guided tours from 5 different Lake Tahoe locations, operate 1 rental concession on Lake Tahoe and 2 adventure-themed retail shops in the Tahoe basin. In addition to our popular tours in completely transparent kayaks, Clearly Tahoe also offers on-site rentals from the Sand Harbor Nevada State Park, hiking, biking and snowshoe tours during the off-season. Our sister location based out of California offers 2 additional tour locations and guided excursions that depart from our 46-foot tri-toon, the Clearly Explorer. With a team of more than 60 employees, Clearly Tahoe offers a variety of both seasonal and year-round positions, in-housetraining, and growth opportunities.

Work Environment:
Sales Associate will be scheduled to work in one of our Clearly Tahoe shops. Sales Associate will generally be scheduled to open and close during the slow season but may work open, close or mid-shifts during the summer months. Sales Associate will generally work independently during winter months but may be scheduled to work with co-workers during the busy summer season. Sales Associate maybe responsible for participating in bulk inventory checks, trainings and meetings at off-site locations from time to time.

Schedule:
Sales Associate may be scheduled to open the shop, close the shop or work a mid-shift. Shift will average 8-hours/day but could be slightly longer or shorter with seasonal demands. Opening shifts will start between 6:00am and 4:00pm and closing shifts will end between 2:00pm and 10:00pm depending on the season. Part-time schedule will range from 16-24 hours/week. Full-time schedules will be4-5 days and average 32-40 hours/week. During the off-season, full-time positions may be reduced to part-time

Compensation:

• Training Rate: $14.00/hour (Nevada)
• Starting Rate: 16.00/hour
• Long-Term Rate Range: $16.00-19.00/hour

Job Qualifications:

• Must be fluent in English.
• Bilingual. (preferred)
• 2 Years Customer Service Experience. (preferred)

Primary Job Duties:

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
