Job Description: RN ICU - 13-Week Contract

Location: South Charleston, WV
Shift: 12-hour night shifts

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and maintain accurate patient records.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
• Respond to life-saving situations based upon nursing standards and protocol.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Maintain and ensure proper functioning of ICU equipment.
• Educate patients and their families on disease processes, treatment plans, and post-hospital care.

Requirements:

• Licensure: Current RN license in the state of West Virginia.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS required; other certifications as needed for specialty.
• Skills: Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills; ability to handle high-stress situations.
• EMR Systems: Proficiency in electronic medical records systems, experience with [specific EMR system if required by facility].

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with specific patient populations or procedures relevant to the ICU setting in South Charleston.
• Additional certifications (e.g., CCRN) are a plus.

Job Types: Travel nursing, Contract

Pay: $65.00 - $69.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
