The Beacon Group of Companies, an Insurance, Employee Benefits, Financial and Retirement planning advisory firm, is looking for a highly motivated, Benefits Account Manager to be part of our business expansion effort.
About UsThe Beacon Group offers companies and individuals comprehensive advice on investing, insurance and employee benefits. Our experienced advisers in each of these areas provide unbiased insurance and investment consulting. We become the advocate for the client in the buying process and introduce the right specialist to address client needs.
The Benefits Account Manager is responsible for managing an assigned book of business. As an account manager, you may manage multiple clients. Your duties include working to explain benefits, answering questions and employee inquiries during enrollment, and managing the account or accounts to ensure that clients remain happy with your employer's service.
Your Duties and Responsibilities will include:
  • Build and maintain client relations and manage client accounts
  • Delegate account servicing tasks to team members
  • Prepare and present proposals for Small Business Unit (SBU) accounts
  • Review new and renewal policies for accuracy
  • Resolve policy coverage, billing, membership and claims issues
  • Analyze client applications and other documents for accuracy
  • Thoroughly document accounts using the agency’s management systems
  • Mentor and train fellow employees as assigned
  • Continue growth of insurance knowledge and stay informed of changes in the insurance industry
  • Backup other employees as assigned
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned
Qualifications For The Employee Benefits Account Manager
  • PA Life, Accident, and Health Insurance License (Preferred).
  • Extremely detail oriented, organized, and service-drive.
  • Ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years’ experience working an employee benefits broker firm.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Publisher.
  • Experience working through an open enrollment or annual renewal benefits cycle (Preferred).
