Job Summary:
The Dishwasher at Holiday Inn Boston - Bunker Hill Area is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment in the restaurant and banquet areas. This is a part-time, hourly position within the hospitality/restaurant industry located in Somerville, Massachusetts. The Dishwasher will work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure a seamless and efficient operation, while providing exceptional service to our guests.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is an hourly position with a compensation rate of $18 per hour. Pay will be distributed bi-weekly. As a part-time employee, you will be eligible for dental and vision benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize all dishes, glassware, and silverware according to established standards
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized after use
- Properly handle and store clean dishes and kitchen equipment
- Assist in stocking and organizing kitchen supplies and equipment
- Follow proper safety and sanitation procedures at all times
- Work efficiently and effectively to maintain a smooth and organized flow of dishes and equipment
- Support the kitchen team with various tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a dishwasher in a high-volume restaurant or hotel preferred
- Strong knowledge of proper sanitation and safety procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 30 pounds
- Must be legally eligible to work in the United States
