Good Dog Veterinary Care is Hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Near Smyrna, GA

We are on mission to be a light in the veterinary medicine field – come join our team of "Dog Experts" at Good Dog Veterinary Care!

Our team is the heartbeat of Good Dog Veterinary Care. We are looking for joyful team members who are fired up to relentlessly care for our patients, clients, and fellow team members.

Good Dog Veterinary Care is thrilled to announce we opened a second location in Smyrna in June! We opened Good Dog Veterinary Care West Cobb in 2019, grew quickly to a 4 DVM practice, and opened our second location in Smyrna in June 2023. We have grown quickly into a three doctor practice here in Smyrna and we are looking to add to our incredible team at Good Dog Veterinary Care Smyrna to support our mission!

Does the technical side of veterinary medicine light you up? Do you love the science behind anesthesia, being the front lines in managing critical patients, and have a keen understanding of patient surgical prep and patient surgical recovery? Do you long to share your hard earned knowledge with other team members?

If so, you would be a fantastic addition to Good Dog Veterinary Care! At our Smyrna location, our RVTs will have the unique opportunity to grow as our hospital grows. You will be the nurses for our doctors and their daily focus is the safety of all anesthesia procedures, the health of hospitalized patients, and leading their team through daily cases.

We are on a mission at Good Dog Veterinary Care to serve our team just as well as we care for our patients and clients. How do we do this? Here are the top 5 Reasons to Join our Team:

1. Your Job Matters:
You have unique gifts. We want your gifts to shine at work! In veterinary medicine, everyone saves lives and it takes the entire team’s gifts to be able to accomplish this mission. Our team members who take our phone calls and make sure our surgery suite is clean and sanitized are just as important as our doctors performing the surgery. Every team member has a unique role in ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of medical care.

2. We have a 5 Team Member to 1 DVM Ratio:
Veterinary medicine is a fast paced environment and our goal is always to work with a sense of urgency but not stress. How do we accomplish this goal? We build a strong support team! For each DVM on our team, we have a team of 5 who are solely dedicated to that DVM. The DVM’s team includes 1 RVT, 2 Case Managers, 1 Kennel Assistant, and 1 Welcome Team Member. For our 4 DVM practice in West Cobb, we have a team of 27 to ensure we have a strong team to best serve our patients and clients each day. We plan to build the same structure at Good Dog Veterinary Care Smyrna.

3. Strong Leadership:
Dr. Singletary and Natalie Singletary recognize that a strong team doesn’t just happen – it is built and cultivated! Good Dog Veterinary Care has a strong Leadership Team in place that includes the Owners, Hospital Manager, Training Manager, Lead Case Manager and Office Manager. Our Leadership Team meets weekly. In addition to our Leadership Team, we have weekly All Team Meetings, weekly DVM meetings, and weekly One-on-One meetings with our team members. We believe the only kind of leadership is servant leadership.

4. Exceptionally High Standard of Medicine:
Our team practices the highest standard of medical care, and we strive to deliver an exceptional experience to every patient and client in our care. We offer hour long appointments for every annual, semi annual, and sick visit, and our goal is that every client leaves our doors with all questions answered. Our team plays a pivotal role in client education, and our team thrives off providing solutions to clients in our care.

5. Clear Growth:
Looking for a career in veterinary medicine instead of a job? We are looking for career minded team members who strongly desire to grow with us. We love seeing team members join us in one role and develop the skill set to grow with us into another position. We are a young, rapidly growing company with numerous opportunities for growth as we continue expanding. Come grow with us in your career!
