Qualifications

  • Demonstrates the ability to show empathy toward clients and treat dogs with respect and compassion.
  • Maintain and use correct medical terminology
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks without direct supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to perform routine veterinary medical procedures (e.g., collect samples and administer vaccines).
  • Ability to maintain accurate medical records and to create treatment plans for all products and services.

Preferred

  • One-year recent experience in a veterinary practice, with increasing responsibilities.
  • Education equivalent to two years of college (pre-veterinary curriculum) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT).

Responsibilities consist of, but are not limited to:

  • Multi-task, respond quickly and calmly to emergencies, helping others through necessary tasks.
  • Follow the exam room timeline and other established procedures to assist veterinarians with examinations.
  • Ensure that medications, treatments, and equipment are ready when needed.
  • Knowledge of the hospital’s programs, products, and services.
  • Discuss treatment plans and be able to communicate the importance and value of recommended items.
  • Communicate with clients regarding the medical status of their dogs. Demonstrate courtesy, compassion, and professionalism in all client interactions.
  • Maintain all medical equipment and treatment areas as required.

We are at a very exciting point in the growth of Good Dog Veterinary Care! In the past 5 years, Dr. Patrick Singletary and Natalie Singletary have grown the company from a 1 DVM to a 10 DVM practice. We opened Good Dog Veterinary Care West Cobb in 2019. Then, we opened our second location in Smyrna in June 2023. Our third location in East Cobb will be opening later this year. To support our plans for growth and expansion we are actively recruiting talented candidates for all positions including Veterinarians, Registered Veterinary Technicians, Veterinary Assistants, Customer Service Representatives, and Kennel Assistants.
