About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity to support our Restaurant Technology team as a Sr. Product Manager, Menu Platform based in Shelton, CT or Miami, FL. The Sr. Product Manager, Menu Platform will lead, plan and organize product development to ensure a high return on investment (ROI) for Subway’s global Menu Platform used across 105 countries and 30,000 restaurants. This includes partnering with business stakeholders, analysts and end users to elicit and document feedback, then managing product and technical leads to translate ideas into strategy, roadmaps and features. This position should regularly communicate with the product owner(s) and scrum master(s) throughout the development lifecycle. They should be a perceptive manager, creative leader and reliable problem-solver, able to understand which ideas will and which won’t work.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Partner with the Sr. Director, Menu Platform, and Subway business and technology stakeholders to build, implement and manage product strategies consistent with company vision and business goals.
  • Elicit, analyze and present feedback from end users٫ stakeholders, technical teams and others to shape requirements and product features as well as high-level technical scope.
  • Document and own business, functional and technical requirements, and manage translation (by Product Owners) into product backlog items (PBI’s). Own, manage, update and groom the product backlog and delivery plans, guide user story creation and validate user stories based on acceptance criteria.
  • Provide all (and any) support required to ensure releases are planned and delivered on time and meet all business requirements with a high level of quality. Facilitate demonstrations, workshops, interviews and product walkthroughs with end users, technology teams and business stakeholders.
  • Supervise, manage and support product owners, business analysts, UI/UX as well as coordinating with cross-functional development and business teams. Ensure individual goals are established, reviewed and tracked.
  • Work with Stakeholders, Product Owners, Scrum Masters and Business Analysts to scope projects then ensure all resources (including cross functional teams) are accurately allocated and balanced throughout the year, while simultaneously working with scrum teams to review actual reported hours then, update and track near term allocations based on current backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions.
  • Own and manage departmental budget, ensuring all accounts payable invoices are analyzed, reviewed for accuracy then approved, tracked and measured against projects forecasts.
  • Work with Director, Product Development, to review budget, ensure product lifecycle deadlines are met, software development stages are completed on time, product releases are in compliance with schedules, and communicate updates across all channels.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, additional education, certifications, and skills are welcome.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in business strategy/development, product management/ownership, or a senior business analyst role.
  • Experience within food service industry, specifically quick service restaurants (QSR) a plus.
  • Strong technical background with an ability to cultivate and build collaborative working relationships with a broad range of cross-functional stakeholders and development teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask and present complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing.
  • Experience with Agile development and a strong sense of Agile Methodologies (Agile Scrum Certification required) with experience in industry-standard application lifecycle management tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira and Confluence.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience leading, managing, and mentoring people, as well as balancing internal teams and external partners/vendors to deliver projects on time.
