Position Overview: As a Chemical Lab Technician, you'll play a crucial role in our research efforts. Your responsibilities will include conducting experiments, preparing samples, analyzing data, and maintaining laboratory equipment. Additionally, you'll have the opportunity not only to contribute to the development of new processes and technologies, but may aspire to customer service, marketing, technical writing, etc.

Required duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Make new materials and modification of existing products per instructions.
  • Materials testing using a variety of equipment.
  • Quality Control, tracking and documenting.
  • Equipment calibration.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Qualifying raw materials
  • Following test methods and procedures
  • Understanding of testing procedures, data and results.
  • Report writing and presentation.
  • Manufacture of pilot batches.
  • Sample prep. of metallic test pieces.
  • Participating in ISO 9001

Requirements:

  • Min. 2 years college education in chemistry, biology, engineering or related field. 1 year in an industrial setting.
  • High energy and inherently strive to grow and improve.
  • Must be technical minded and expected to have excellent math and reading skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be highly skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be willing to work with chemicals, solvents, and acids.
  • Must be eager to learn.

  • Mechanical, electrical, or plumbing aptitude.
  • Basic polymer know-how.
  • Knowledge and understanding of some of the below topics: polymerization, epoxy resins, acrylate chemistry, coatings formulation, water based system, Principles of adhesive bonding, UV curable systems.

All staff are expected to possess the following:

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
