The following duties are normal for this position. This list is not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Provide dining service to Residents, guests and family members as needed.
- Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and Department of Health standards.
- Follow daily and weekly cleaning schedules.
- Responsible for keeping work areas clean and maintaining sanitary conditions.
- Practice all safety and loss prevention procedures.
- Monitor all food items to see that the guidelines for temperature, taste and quality are upheld.
- Provides a high level of service to all residents and their families in a positive, professional manner.
- Must attend all required trainings and in-services.
Educational Requirements and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED Equivalent
- Able to provide dining service that meet or exceed hospitality and service standards
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, guests, employees and supervisors
- Experience as a Culinary Aide or in a similar role is strongly preferred
- High School diploma or GED Equivalent
- Able to provide dining service to elderly that meet or exceed hospitality and service standards
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, guests, employees and supervisors
- Knowledge of sanitation practices related to cooking and serving
- Able to work holidays, weekends, and pre-planned special events
- Must be able to read and write
- Follow instructions with a positive attitude
- Works primarily indoors in a climate controlled setting
- Possible exposure to unpleasant odors
- Possible exposure to chemicals as identified in the MSDS Manual
- Continuous exposure to residents who are ill, confused, irritable and irrational
