Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Home Health Aides. As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential care and support to individuals in their homes, helping them maintain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Duties:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing if needed
- Prepare and cook meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences
- Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nurse
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Complete medical documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment
- Provide specialized care, such as hospice care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Perform catheter care, if trained and authorized
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a state-approved Home Health Aide training program
- Valid certification as a Home Health Aide (HHA)
- Experience in providing care for individuals with medical needs preferred
- Knowledge of medical documentation systems and HIPAA regulations
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
