PVE is Hiring a Survey Technician Near Sewickley, PA
- The Survey Technician position is entry-level and on-the-job training will be provided. The ideal candidate possesses a love for the outdoors as the job is mostly outside in all weather conditions. Must be able to carry at least 50 lbs. over uneven terrain, use hand tools, machetes, measuring devices and other equipment in support of the survey process. Training will be provided by Licensed Survey professionals to motivated candidates on ALTA, As-Built, Stake-Out and Boundary survey projects.
- Role that this position reports to: Survey Manager
- Assist with preliminary detailed drawings using Civil 3D and AutoCAD for survey projects including ALTA, As-Built, Sub-Division and existing land development projects.
- Research and obtain standards/codes required by clients and Jurisdictions and ensure drawings follow local and state law requirements.
- Assist in drafting the following using AutoCAD/Civil 3D: ALTA, As-Built, Sub-Division Plans
- Zoning Plans, Boundary Surveys, Existing Condition Plans
- Qualified candidates should have 3 - 5 years of combined field and office experience in the Land Surveying with a working knowledge of boundary retracement surveying, as well as general civil site work and construction layout by planning, conducting, and recording surveys.
- Ideal candidate should be proficient in the use of both field survey equipment (Trimble TDS/GPS Office/Trimble Geo XH/Trimble GPS and Robotic Total Stations) and Office Drafting Software (AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013-2014).
- Candidates must display excellent communication skills and strong customer facing personality in order effectively work with clients and team members. Must also display strong organizational skills.
