Job Description:GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOBOperates a lattice boom type crane to hoist and move materials, raise and lower heavy weights and perform other related operation
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- May be crawler type or rubber-tired.
- May include placement of rock riprap, clamshell, dragline, pipe and pile driving operations.
- May oil, grease or otherwise service and make necessary adjustments to equipment as needed.
- Whatever enhances the operations of the company.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
- Less than a High School Diploma
- Five (5) years' experience operating a crane on road and bridge construction projects
- Outdoors exposed to changing weather conditions (for instance, rain, sun, snow, wind, etc.)
- Heavy physical activity performing strenuous day activities of a primarily productive/technical nature.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with the fingers and perceives attributes of objects and materials.
