**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping for our organization.

**Duties:**

- Maintain and balance general ledger accounts

- Prepare journal entries

- Perform bank reconciliations

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable

- Assist with payroll processing

- Generate financial statements and reports

- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

- Utilize accounting software such as Sage for financial data management

**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles

- Proficiency in 10-key typing and data entry accuracy

- Knowledge of governmental, public, corporate, and technical accounting practices

- Familiarity with payroll processing

- Strong understanding of GAAP

- Experience with accounting software like Quickbooks is a plus
