Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in Savannah, TN. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable transactions and maintaining positive relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts receivable transactions, including customer invoices, payments, and adjustments.
  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports to ensure timely collections and reduce delinquent accounts.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Communicate with customers to follow up on outstanding invoices and address any billing issues or disputes.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to accounts receivable.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts receivable activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely billing and collections.
  • Assist with the month-end closing process and other accounting tasks as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar accounting role.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
