Accent Florida Homes is Hiring an Office Manager Near Sarasota, FL

Job Title: Office/HR Manager (Construction Industry Experience Preferred)

Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Office and HR Manager with a strong understanding of the construction industry to oversee the daily operations of our office and manage our human resources functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient work environment, handling administrative tasks, financial reporting, and managing all aspects of HR, from recruitment to employee relations, with a focus on the unique needs of a construction company.

Responsibilities:

Office Management:

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and functional office space
  • Manage office equipment and supplies
  • Handle phone calls, emails, and other correspondence
  • Prepare and submit permit applications (construction-related knowledge preferred)
  • Coordinate with external parties such as HOAs, neighbors, and land owners
  • Track and archive permits and related documents, ensuring compliance with construction regulations

Financial Management:

  • Prepare reports on office expenses and financial transactions
  • Assist the finance department with accounts payable, vendor relations, and payments, with a focus on construction-related expenses and invoices
  • Ensure compliance with safety and occupational health regulations specific to the construction industry

Human Resources:

  • Plan and conduct the recruitment process for new employees, with a focus on attracting talent in the construction industry
  • Onboard new hires, including preparing documents and conducting orientations specific to construction roles and safety procedures
  • Maintain personnel records and employee database, tracking certifications and licenses relevant to the construction industry
  • Organize training and development activities for employees, including industry-specific training and safety certifications
  • Conduct performance evaluations and implement motivation systems tailored to construction roles and performance metrics
  • Resolve conflicts and maintain a positive work atmosphere in a construction setting
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations specific to the construction industry
  • Manage employee personal data confidentially
  • Provide HR consultations to employees on construction-specific issues and concerns
  • Build and maintain a positive employer brand within the construction industry

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in office management and human resources, preferably in the construction industry
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and administrative tasks
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations, particularly those relevant to the construction industry
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Proficient in Google Suite
  • Familiarity with construction terminology, processes, and regulations is highly desired
