SUMMARY OF POSITION: The MRF Spotter is responsible for ensuring proper placement and sorting of materials and guiding customers safely in the landfill. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: · Inspect materials and sort items or materials into piles prepping for the Equipment Operator. · Direct Customers where to safely dump their debris at the landfill. · Pull metal and lead items from piles being disposed. · Monitor piles to ensure they are the appropriate size. · Remove items that can be recycled and are not acceptable for disposal at the landfill. · Follow appropriate standard operating procedures (SOPs) as guideline for operating and maintaining equipment. · Report any worker-public safety factors. · Attend weekly/monthly safety/operations meetings
