Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and assisting in the development of young minds.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and activities for preschool-aged children
- Support children's social, emotional, and academic development
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
- Help create a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Assist in classroom management and behavior guidance
- Contribute to the planning and execution of educational activities
- Provide support for children with special needs, including working with individuals on the autism spectrum
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a daycare or preschool setting is preferred
- Knowledge of literacy education and early childhood development principles
- Familiarity with Montessori or other progressive teaching methods
- Strong communication skills to interact with children, parents, and colleagues effectively
- Ability to assist in lesson planning and curriculum implementation
- A degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is desirable but not mandatory
- Passion for working with young children and helping them reach their full potential
