Join VARA as the Kitchen Lead of our Santa Fe location. This full-time, salaried position operates under the guidance of our Santa Fe Tasting Room Manager. We’re seeking a passionate and skilled chef with a deep appreciation for wines and spirits who is ready to create unforgettable culinary experiences for our guests.

In this dynamic role, you will be committed to delivering exceptional food that perfectly complements our wines and spirits. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the heart of our kitchen operations.

As a key member of our team, your days will be filled with collaborative opportunities, from crafting and executing our exquisite tapas menu to working closely with our winemakers and distillers on unique pairing experiences. Your expertise in VARA’s culinary vision and products will make you the go-to expert, providing personalized menu recommendations and enhancing our guests' overall tasting experience.

As the Kitchen Lead, your influence will extend far beyond our kitchen walls. You will play a vital role in community engagement and contribute to our brand's presence in the culinary world. Your leadership will ensure our kitchen is not just a workspace but a vibrant hub of innovation and celebration.

Responsibilities will include:
-Prepping your own stations for service
-Maintaining high standard of food quality
-Maintaining high standard of cleanliness
-Making menu items in a efficient and timely matter
-Work positively with front house staff and management
-Closing and cleaning kitchen

Requirements:
-1 years of kitchen experience
-Food handlers certificate
-Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be on feet for 8 hour shifts
