Construction Group, a highly regarded General Contractor based in Central Florida, is looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to work in the HR Department at our Corporate (Sanford, FL) Office. The successful candidate must have demonstrated experience in recruiting, intern programs and jobs partnerships.Duties/Responsibilities:Consult and coordinate with management on current and future hiring needs.Perform recruiting functions including college, intern, operations and field personnel.Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to managers on hiring practices.Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.Provide guidance and input on business unit organizational structure.Position Wharton-Smith as a great place to work and help to design & execute branding strategy with the Marketing team.Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques to attract and compete for top talent in the market.Explore and utilize various sourcing channels such as networking, direct sourcing, universities, social media, Wharton-Smith careeer site, employee referrals, job portals, and career and job fairs.Identify opportunities to increase the diversity of the candidate pool by partnering with internal and external organizations that support the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.Assess and manage vendor relationships and minimize reliance on outside sources for talent.Manage Job Openings Using Our Recruitment Systems (Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Handshake, and LinkedIn Recruiter); author job descriptions as needed.Update Candidate Records and Remove Job Postings in Our Recruitment Systems.Source applicants to match Hiring Requirements.Conduct Reference Checks, Employment Verification's, Background Checks, and Assessments.Perform Preliminary Phone Screening and Schedule Interviews.Provide Post Preliminary Interview and Phone Screening Information to the Hiring Manager.Oversee the Employee Referral Program.Assist the Department with Various Tasks Including HR-Related Projects.Research, Analyze, Prepare and Present Hiring needs and Statistics to Division and Company leaders.Required Skills/Abilities:Minimum of five years of experience in full-cycle recruiting in a fast-paced, complex organization. Experience designing and leading talent development and pipeline-building program.Ability to Build Relationships with People at All Levels.Demonstrated strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills.Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to Multitask in a Fast-Pace Work Environment. Experience in a corporate environment is preferred with a strong preference for those with Construction-industry or related experience.Expertise with Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint presentation, LinkedIn Recruiter, HRIS, and Applicant Tracking Systems; Experience with Ceridian Dayforce HCM or similar software preferred.Rigorous & studious work ethic, with the proven ability to go above and beyond to find the best solution. Creative thinking and knowing that there is more than one way to tackle recruiting challenges. Ability to have difficult conversations around critical topics including compensation expectations and immigration law & policy. Real passion for creative sourcing and recruitment techniques with a focus on providing a white-glove experience to clients and candidates. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.HR Professional certification preferred.
